Decorate

Drag a library card into the room. Click a piece, then drag it along the floor. Rotate, resize, and recolor in the details panel. Drag the empty background to orbit; scroll to zoom.

Explore

Walk mode: W A S D or the arrow pad moves you. Drag to look around. Walls and most furniture block movement. Escape returns to decorating.

Protect your work

Locked view disables all furniture changes, including adding and undoing. Individual locks protect one piece. Projects autosave to this browser; Save project makes a portable backup.

Search honestly

The 3D library contains generic editable models—not every retail product. Web images searches a real external index. A photo can be displayed as artwork or attached to an approximate furniture model; exact shapes require a 3D model.

Your privacy & costs

No ads, accounts, tracking, subscriptions, or payment code. This independent home-design prototype is not affiliated with EA or The Sims. Image-search queries go to the selected search service. Search-image thumbnails load from their source. Room files stay on your device. Google Images uses a server-side SerpApi adapter, off until the app owner enables it. Daily and calendar-month limits stop new requests; there is no automatic upgrade. Google and SerpApi are external services, not affiliations.

Prototype boundaries

No automatic image-to-3D generation or phone LiDAR capture. Uncompressed static GLB models are supported; animation, advanced materials, and compressed meshes are not. Measurements and clearances need human verification.

Connect search once.

Search is not connected yet. The editor, furniture library, and local imports work without an account.

For the app owner: on Cloudflare Pages, configure these values under Variables and Secrets. Store the API key as a secret, not in the uploaded files. Bind a D1 database as SEARCH_DB and initialize it with cloudflare/schema.sql from the editable project:

After changing hosted settings, create a new production deployment. For local development, use the included .env setup and restart node server.mjs. The key stays on the server, never in a room file or the browser. Do not paste it into chat. Visitors do not need their own key.

This is a third-party Google Images results adapter, not a direct Google API or partnership. The free provider plan has a quota; limits here are conservative request caps, not a guarantee about external billing. Use a free-only provider account and do not enable paid top-ups. No live connection has been made just by opening this dialog.

Without an API key: open Google Images separately, save an image you may use, and upload it here. That is a manual import, not automatic Google search.
BRING A REFERENCE

Paste an image link.

Use a direct picture link, not a Google search-results page. Some sites block linked images; uploading a saved picture is more reliable. This loads the image from its host and keeps a reference—it does not reconstruct a 3D product.
YOUR STUDIO, ONE TAP AWAY

Install SimsHouse.

Open the hosted HTTPS app or this computer’s localhost app. In a supporting browser, choose Install. On iPhone or iPad, use Safari’s Share menu → Add to Home Screen.

New published versions load when you refresh online. An update message appears in an open tab; it never interrupts editing. Saved projects stay in this browser.

The editor and built-in models are cached for offline use after the first successful load. Internet searches and linked pictures still need a connection. Projects remain on this device; export a backup before clearing browser storage or uninstalling.

Installation does not publish an App Store app or add a native house scanner. Other devices need the app’s HTTPS website—not this computer’s localhost address.
